User might have preferences while using Salesforce UI based on the experience/functionality/adaptability. User might be on Salesforce Lightning Experience but prefer to have Salesforce Classic View or vice-versa. Click your Avatar in the top right-hand side of the screen. Click Switch to Salesforce Classic. Click your name.

If the permission is not enabled, please contact Salesforce Support for assistance.
  1. Navigate to Setup | Users | Profiles.
  2. Click the User's profile.
  3. Click on System Permission.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Deselect Hide Option to Switch to Salesforce Classic permission if it's enabled.
  6. Click on Save.
