In Outlook 2010 The Show / Hide option will show after the user is assigned to an Outlook Configuration that has the Side Panel enabled and has installed Salesforce for Outlook on their Computer. Go to View Tab or the Add-Ins tab Locate the Salesforce Side Panel and select Show / Hide

Side Panel is Hidden in Outlook
  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Salesforce for Outlook Side Panel entry.
  3. On the right hand side double click on SidePanelShow key and change the value to True.
