How do I setup Salesforce optimizer?
It’s really quick and easy to setup Salesforce Optimizer. There isn’t a package to install instead, it’s enabled from Setup. You require the following permissions to be able to run it: Customize Application, Modify All Data, and Manage Users. Navigate to the Setup menu and search ‘Optimizer’ using the quick search box.

Find the Optimizer
Finding the optimizer is simple. The only requirement is you must be on the Spring ’17 or later release. It’s available for Professional Edition and up. Simply enter the setup page, and expand “Monitor.” You’ll see Optimizer in the menu. Alternatively, you can search for “Optimizer” in the quick find box.
Allow the Optimizer to Access the Salesforce Org
Click “Allow” so the Optimizer program can access your Salesforce environment. It needs your permission to look at your Salesforce configuration.
Read the Confirmation
The confirmation screen simply lets you know the Optimizer was able to access your Salesforce environment and is currently evaluating.
Open the Email and View the Report
When the report is ready, you’ll receive an email. The report will be attached but you’ll also have it available to you as a file directly in Salesforce. This is a great way for you to share the report with your team and start a chatter conversation around the results.
