I am trying to stop the default email notifications for a particular User in salesforce through apex code. Stopping default email notifications can be done manually by going to My Settings -> Email Settings and unchecking 'Receive emails' checkbox.

  1. From Service Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Activity Settings , and then select Activity Settings.
  2. Select Enable User Control over Task Assignment Notifications.
  3. Click Submit.
