I recently added a trailhead badge on LinkedIn and the system placed it under "certifications" automatically. I just added a badge that i've already had in my LinkedIn profile. You can go to your LinkedIn profile and under Add certificate -> Certification Name & Certification Authority (Salesforce Trailhead).

Mini-rant: Is it me, or does anyone else feel like Salesforce support has gone from okay to just horrible in the past few years? Case escalation doesn't matter unless you do it via your AE/CSM. Even then, the person assigned to your Case isn't helpful (even if you write EVERYTHING DOWN on the ticket).
