you will be taken to a page, at the top is a section called "Salesforce Hands-on Orgs" you can click the X (even though it "looks" disabled to me!!) which will disconnect an Org from your Trailhead profile (you cannot remove the default though, so if you have only one, you will need to associate a clean one with your account, make it the default and then disconnect the dead one).

There may be circumstances where it's necessary to reset a Salesforce organization to default. Support does not have the ability to reset an organization to its default state but it is possible for administrators to clear out or delete everything to start fresh like a new organization.

This is the very first step – Understanding your Business Processes

Before we dive into the series, let’s make sure this is right for you.

Leverage Existing Process Maps or Business Process Documentation

You can always turn to the people that you’re working with and ask them if perhaps they have an employee manual or maybe some other type of documentation that can help streamline this fact-finding step. Perhaps the organization already has some type of documentation like a process map that will reflect visually what their business processes are.

Understand the Internal Team Structure & The SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)

We now must identify the various groups that exist within the organization, in other words, the people that are within each of these groups.

Watch the Process in Action

Once you’ve had all of the exploratory discussions, you understand conceptually what they do, now you’re going to go ahead and take a look, looking over their shoulder, sitting next to the subject matter expert who’s actually doing these steps and watching to see how they do it.

1. Identify the objects which are used most often by the most people to create the most beneficial record layout

We’ve found that Leads, Contacts and Accounts are the most common objects used by both Support and Sales teams alike. Which objects do your Sales reps need access to at a moment’s notice? Which fields do they fill out most often? Which ones do you wish they couldn’t see lest they clutter your records or pollute your pipeline with erroneous data?

3. Do an object-by-object analysis

Finally, do an audit to identify which objects are truly necessary to keep your org functioning.

Step 1: Configure My Domain

While production orgs that were created in Winter ’21 and later have My Domain by default, you can change it if it hasn’t been configured to your business’s needs. You’ll need to ensure My Domain is set up appropriately if you want to use single sign-on (SSO) or Lightning components.

Step 2: Turn on Login As

Troubleshooting, reproducing errors, and testing are all vital to your success as an admin. Thankfully, you’ve got Login As in your toolkit!

Step 3: Configure Who Sees What

Configuring data access and visibility is an important and complex aspect of being an admin. When you’re rolling out a new Salesforce org, you’ll want to spend time reviewing our Who Sees What video series, Essentials Habits: Security video, and Sharing and Visibility trailmix.

Step 4: Show some sandbox love

Non-production environments are one of my favorite things. If I provision myself a developer sandbox and blow it up, I can simply spin up a new one and begin fresh.

Step Two: Incorporate Salesforce Security Features Into Your Implementation Accordingly

With a clear understanding and justification for data collection, and with an eye towards the kinds of possible threats that may need to be accounted for, consider how the following features and capabilities might reduce risks for the application, nonprofit personnel, and for beneficiaries.

Step Three: Monitor and Prepare to Respond to Incidents

Deploying the application into production does not end the process of harm minimization. Indeed, monitoring the ongoing security situation, security logs, and taking action on any incidents that may arise needs to be an ongoing activity for the lifetime of the application.
