It all started with the intern season. I always had huge interests in the field of Automation, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, App Development and Game Development. Apart from these I also want to contribute to and develop those software applications which can ease people’s life e.g. decrease the manual work etc.

Tanisha Garg

Hi everyone! I joined Salesforce around 1.5 month back only. I am really enjoying working here :). One of the best things I like about Salesforce is its 1-1-1 model. From the childhood only I wanted to give back to the community (on becoming independent). Today I wanted to share "How I got an internship at Salesforce?".

A Little Background

Hello! My name is Jenna Yee and I am a senior at the University of Washington - Seattle, majoring in computer science.

The Long Preparation and Hustle

I have never had a job before, let alone an internship, so my prior experience is extremely limited. This meant that I had a lot of preparing to do.

The Smooth Interviewing Process

Finally in March I heard back from Salesforce, asking me to complete a coding challenge. I was so excited to finally hear back from one of the companies I really wanted to intern at. I did my best on the HackerRank that was sent to me, and hoped for the best.

The Final Acceptance

Not even a week later, I hear back from my lovely recruiter, asking if I have some time to meet and she will hopefully share some good news with me. I was beyond excited to hear from her, and even after she told me that I am receiving an offer from Salesforce, the information did not sink in for a while. I simply could not believe it was happening.

Reflection

All in all, the entire process was so amazing. Everyone that I met during my recruiting process was so open and friendly. And even when I felt like I couldn’t do it, or it was definitely too late, just motivating myself to keep trying landed me in the best position.
