Opportunities can link to Salesforce Campaigns in two ways. When populating the Primary Campaign field as a new opportunity is created. Remember, when you convert a Lead, you create an Account, Contact, and optionally, an Opportunity. The Campaign Member record describes the relationship between a Lead or Contact and each Salesforce campaign.

To make this field visible or editable in Classic:
  1. Click Setup.
  2. Go to 'Opportunities'.
  3. Click Fields.
  4. Click Primary Campaign Source.
  5. Click Set Field-Level Security.
  6. Select the box for the profiles that this field should be visible or editable to.
