What's so special about Salesforce?

By now you know that you can use Salesforce to deliver a highly customized experience to your customers, employees, and partners. You can do it without writing much (or any) code, and you can do it fast. What’s so special about Salesforce? It all starts with our architecture.

What is Salesforce lightning and how does it work?

Lightning is a completely re-imagined Salesforce platform designed to take sales productivity to the next level. The Lightning Experience along with our revamped CRM user interface make for a noticeably improved, quicker and efficient way of selling. We think Salesforce Lightning is the future of CRM and sales.

What is the Salesforce architecture?

When you think about the Salesforce architecture, imagine a series of layers that sit on top of each other. Sometimes it helps to think of it as a cake because cake is delicious, and it makes everything better. There’s a lot to unpack here, but let’s focus on the most important points. Salesforce is a cloud company.

What are the platform technologies at Salesforce?

Our platform technologies like predictive analytics and the development framework are built into everything we offer and everything you build. There are few terms in here that are extra important for you to understand: trust, multitenancy, metadata, and the API. Why Trust the Cloud? At Salesforce, trust is our top priority.

Likelihood to Recommend

I can recommend Falcon.io for any person or company that wants to organize and plan their social media content. You will easily keep track of all channels, schedule each post in advance, analyze and create marketing strategies. They will have a tool that gives them a lot of abilities to get information about the performance of the content

Pros

The interface is well-organized and makes the user experience very smooth.

Cons

Some of our measurement metrics are predefined, and you would need to extract the raw data and calculate new or other metrics such as engagement rates (based on reach)

Likelihood to Renew

I'm not quite as happy with Falcon Social as I thought. It is lagging a lot and the functions are not working as they should. I feel I don't know all functions in the system so I can't use all the features

Usability

It acts as a single inbox used to deliver real-time customer service and management of crisis. All content is managed effectively using a single calendar.

Support Rating

On the few occasions that I have used it, we have been slow to get responses. Despite all this, they have been very generous and persuasive.

Alternatives Considered

Falcon is a much more robust tool, with significantly better scheduling and community management. Their Engage module is miles ahead.

Why does Salesforce use API?

Salesforce uses that API name to retrieve the metadata and data you’re looking for. For example, we can use a contact’s Name field in a bunch of places, like the Salesforce mobile app, a custom page, or even an email template. That’s all possible because of the API name.

What is multitenancy in Salesforce?

Salesforce provides a core set of services to all our customers in the multitenant cloud.

Scale with the public cloud worldwide

Deploy solutions at B2B and B2C scale in more locations around the world using the public cloud. Enjoy faster in-country performance and reduced latency with shorter routes between end users and data centers.

Protect sensitive data with built-in trust

Ensure privacy and security of data in Salesforce and public cloud providers. Built from the ground up with Zero Trust architecture. Data encryption at rest and in transit come standard.

Store data locally. Aid compliance globally

Choose the region you store data in. Support the specific compliance needs and regulations of your company or industry.

Future-proof your company as it scales

Scale up with confidence. Every app, customization, and integration you’ve built on Salesforce will work on Hyperforce with backward compatibility.

Empower everyone to build apps the fast, easy, and fun way

Enable IT and business to create apps together using no-code builders and pro-code tools. With Lightning, you can save up to 25% of the time developers spend building customizations.*

Prepare for even more features in the future

Use this feature roadmap to see which features are coming as you turn on Lightning Experience and evolve your business.

How many apps are there in Salesforce?

The marketplace, known as the Salesforce AppExchange, launched in 2006. Since then, the number of apps available has only grown. Today, there are over 5000 apps, from Asana to the Lightning Knowledge dashboard. At least 300 of these apps are mobile-ready, too, with an increasing focus on mobility for the future.

How many cloud tiers does Salesforce have?

For a start, generally speaking, Salesforce comes in four different tiers, as you can see below. It’s also important to note the four different clouds available, too: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. Each of these “clouds” is catered towards its target area.

Is Salesforce easy to use?

Ease of use: Salesforce is straightforward and intuitive, so you can spend more time focusing on business than wondering how to handle the software. You can also log in from multiple devices, including a dedicated mobile app, and view and update customers’ data with ease.

Can you customize Salesforce?

Customization options: You can completely customize Salesforce the way you want and need it to be. You perform this with either point-and-click tools or via code for more in-depth customization. You can also add custom fields and tabs, email templates, enhanced reports and dashboards, and automated task management.

Is MuleSoft a paid program?

The big picture again is that MuleSoft is more than capable software that can easily stand tall among the competition, but it’s a paid extra. You’re paying for high-quality products that excel in their respective areas. For some, the price might be a dealbreaker, but for others, a non-issue.

Does Salesforce have add ons?

Salesforce has few problems when it comes to add-ons. In fact, users will have access to one of the largest third-party app marketplaces in the world of CRM. That means integrating essential apps like Zendesk and QuickBooks is a complete breeze. The marketplace, known as the Salesforce AppExchange, launched in 2006.
